Many Christians want God to GIVE THEM PEACE in the midst of what they want to do, despite what God has told them to do.
Micah 6:7-8 says, Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstboran for my trnasgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of soul? He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what dows the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?
How hypocritial are believers when they try to play spiritual games with God? You know the routine. You wan to thave His gift of peace, but you choose to disregard what He has already shown you. You even make sacrifices to God to cover over your hypocrisy and disobedience, as if they might bring Him pleasure. The Lord cuts through the game playing and says, "Stop it! Keep your sacrifices toyourself. It's all wrong and you have forced me to turn away. There is one thing I desire: Do what i have shown you to do. Obey what I have said. Submit to Me with all your heart, and then I will give you a peace that surpases all understanding."
