A New Year on the Horizon

As we get ready to go into another year, I was reflecting back over the year 2009 and what the Lord has shown to us and has blessed us with. Words can never discribe what the Lord has given to each one of us.
As we get ready to go into a New Year - I want you to know that the Lord has New Blessings and more Promises for YOU in this upcoming year! I am truly excited about what the Lord is going to do in this upcoming year! As the scripture tells us, "His promises are for us each and every day". When we realize this truth, we will never be alone, we will never be discouraged, we will never walk this journey alone because all of His promises speaks against lonliness, discouragement and He said He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Aren't you glad that we have a Savior that is ALIVE and WELL. NOTHING is to hard for our God. Let me encourage you on this day that God has great things instore for you!
This is the day that the Lord hath made and I will rejoice and be GLAD in it.
Blessings for 2010!

Are you Having Problems - Jesus is the Answer

John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life."
Some times we go through problems down here on earth and we wonder if we are ever going to get answers or our problems fixed but today, I want you to know the your problems, your troubles and your trials have been answered and it is found in this verse that I typed for you this morning.
You see, God sent His Son to fix the problems of this world. God sent His Son to fix the troubles and trials that you are facing. We just have to reach out and accept the answer, accept the solution. Jesus is the answer to all of our needs, to all of our problems and to all that we face here on earth.
The Bible goes on to say, "....I will never leave you nor forsake you...."
"...I will go to the end of the earth with you..."
No doctor, no lawyer and no friend will do what Jesus will do for you!
Blessings on you today!

Wow! It is hard to believe that Fall is here and our Summer months have gone by so fast. As I look over the last few months, I realize that God has His hand over my life. There has been stressful times that I have gone through that God has allowed me to come up above the storm and walk above the situation. We serve such a loving and all knowing God!

September 26th marked another mile stone - we have been blessed to have produced a weekly radio broadcast for the past 5 1/2 years. We decided that at the end of September we would go off the air and move through the next set of doors that the Lord would have us to go through. We are looking forward to the next work that God would have for us to do!

The Beckley Praise Church is going good - we have our ups and downs but God is faithful! Praise God for His faithfulness!

Well, until I write again - I pray God's blessings upon each of you as you read this blog.

What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see......
I find myself thinking, singing and longing more and more for Heaven! In the day and time that we are living in, Heaven is sounding sweeter everyday! As Christians, we find ourselves being bombarded by the Devil and all of His imps and Christians are not knowing how to defend themselves from the enemy.
Just as Ephesians tells us, we must put on the whole armor of God. Not just one or two pieces but all of the armor of God. For this truly, is the on ly way of winning against the devil.
Church, it is time to take every measure and let the devil know that we are not going to bow or bend. We are not going to STOP worshipping the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We are going to continue to call upon the Name that is above ALL Names and we are going to continue to Sing PRAISES to Jesus Christ.
To all of you who are battling, dig in and know that God is fighting your battles.

July 28th - Tuesday Post

What a trying time we have gone through over the last couple of weeks! We have had 2 wonderful Women of God get their promotion to Glory! What a happy time but a sad time also. As I was thinking of these two ladies, I could not help but to think back over the last couple of months and see how much they loved the Lord and how much they loved to Worship their God! God reminded me that they were just getting in practice for a life time of Praise and Worship! They were preparing to meet the one they had longed for for many years!
So to you who read these, don't wait to late to give your life to the Lord and to all those who know the Lord as your personal Savior - don't wait to late to praise Him. Praise Him now and get into some practice in worshipping Him.
Just think, we will be doing in forever!

July 9th - Receiving What thus saith the Lord

What a blessing it is to be able to receive a FRESH WORD from the Lord on a daily basis. I am just so thrilled that every time that I get in the Word of God, there is always a word for me for that day! It is a word that is never too early and it is a word that is never too late. The Word of God is always on time and it will speak to the very situation that you are going through.
The scriptures tells us to be "....rooted and grounded in the Word..." and it also says to "...study to show thyself approved...."! As I preached last night at the church, we must know what the Lord is saying to us, more now than ever before. If we know what He is saying then there is no where that we walk that He will not bless us and walk with us!
If you are reading this and wonder if there is a FRESH WORD for you - get into the Word and find out - I just believe that He will speak to you also.

June 10, 2009 - Expecting from the Lord

Wow! It is has been a while since my last posting but can I tell you that it is because the Lord has been blessing and sharing so much with me that I just cannot always put it in words!
I am just truly amazed at how the Lord will birth something in you and as you grow in the Lord and keep you eyes on Him, that dream that He has birthed in you begins to grow and begins to show just as a lady who is ready to deliver a child. Just as the lady with child, she eats and rest for not just herself but for the child inside of her. I truly believe that God expects us to do the same when he has birthed a dream in us. We must eat and rest so that we can be our best during this time of carrying this dream.
Pastor Paul, how can we do this? Great question, the Bible tells us that we should, "pray continually", that we should "read the Word of God daily" and we should spend time in "praise and worship". When we do these things, we can rest assured that God will do His part and we can carrying this dream to full term. Not only will we get to carry this to full term but we will see this dream come forth and grow as the Lord said it would.
So today, let me encourage you and say that if God has birthed something in you, follow through on that dream and you nurture that dream until God has brought you to full term and births that dream for everyone else to see.
God bless you as you "Expect from the Lord" today!

Friday, March 20, 2009 - What's on my heart....

hello to all who read this blog - we pray that you are receiving the blessings from the Lord and that you are not just receiving but you are also being a blessing to God.

We are in the middle of a three day revival with Sister Rita Sharp and Remnant Ministries and my how I am realizing that God is more awesome everyday that I commune with Him. His presence is what I long for everyday! Once you have experienced His REALNESS you know when FAKE comes around and you move quickly away from those who are FAKE and want HIS REALNESS more and more.

As I was sitting here, I could not help but to think of the song that says, "....it's the realness of the Spirit....." and I don't know about you dear Saints of God but I want the realness of the Spirirt.

God bless you all and if you get a chance come on by and hear a Word from the Lord.

We are living in the greatest time as Christians. There is so much for all of us to do to continue to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it is almost time to take our flight to Glory!
So as you can see, we areally are living in the best time for the believer!
Joyce Meyers wrote a book several of years ago entitled, "The Secret to True Happiness". If only people would realize that true happiness is attainable through Jesus Christ!
Let me take this time to invite you to the Beckley Praise Church to hear Sister Rita Sharp with Remnant Ministries. She will bless you and your family.

As I began to look at this cartoon this morning and hear so many people speak of not receiving from the Lord during services. I got to thinking, do we have our cups turned up ready to receive from the Lord or do we continue to come to services with our cups turned over to were we cannot receive from the Lord!

We will receive from the Lord if we are expecting and anticipating on receiving from the Lord! The scriptures says, "I will enter into HIS gates with thanksgiving and praise." If we go in not expecting we will leave with not getting anything.

The next time that you go into the church, go in with your arms upraised in the praise and thanksgiving and just go in Worshipping the Lord and I guarantee if you do that - you will leave the sanctuary receiving blessings fromt he Lord!

April 15th, 2009, Wednesday

As I sit here and anticipate the services for tonight, I get really excited about what the Lord is going to do! The Lord tells us that if we will come into His house with Praise and Thanksgiving, He will meet us there. Tonight, as I go in to the services, I will go in with only Praise and Worship on my mind and on my heart!
I know that if I do that, He will fill the House with His presence! I pray that all of us, will enter into His house with praise and worship!
God bless you as you worship the Savior of our Souls!

Blessed be the Name of the Lord......
As I awoke this morning, this song was deep in my spirit. I immediately began singing this song because it really says what my heart is feeling and experiencing today!
We are truly blessed of the Lord this morning and we should be singing the shouts and praises of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As I look out and about where I am, you cannot help but to see the Goodness of our Lord! You can't help but see His Majesty and His Splendor! So to be singing, "Blessed be the Name of the Lord" is so appropriate this morning.
So throughout this day, take time to bless the Lord for HE has surely blessed us!

It is hard to believe that in this New Year, 3 months have come and gone!
And with me saying this, I want to ask, "What have we accomplished for the Lord in these first 3 months of the New Year?"
The reason that I ask this question on this beautiful morning is because the scriptures tells us to Go and Tell everyone we see about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And as I awoke this morning and was praying, I asked God to place people in my path that I might be able to tell someone about the Love of Christ. In the world that we live in, there are people who are hurting and lonely; let us be a light and a help to all those who are hurting and lonely. Let us be food for their soul; let us be water for the thirst that they are experiencing; let us tell.....
Let me encourage everyone this morning to, "GO AND TELL".....

One Month to Live "Thirty Days with No-Regrets Life"

Starting tomorrow night at the Beckley Praise Church, located at 250 Elm Street, we will be starting a New Series "One Month to Live". This is a series that will cause us to relook at our way of living as a Christian.

What if you only had one month to live?
How would you make each day really matter?
What would you start and what would you stop, doing?
How would you related to others?

This series that we will begin on Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 at the Beckley Praise Church, will empower us to focus on being who God created us to be - passionate, fully alive, living with no-regrets.

Come and be with us as we explore what God has intended for us to do and intended us to be!
God bless you and hope to see you there!

The scriptures says, "Train up a child in the way that they should go and they will not depart from it....." As I was thinking about our children and the this world. If, we the church do not take a stand and train the children in the way that they should go then we are looking at a lost generation. We have a great responsibility church. We need to step up to the plate and begin doing what the Bible instructs all of us to do!

We must take our callings so very serious. If you are childrens church workers, Sunday School Teachers or just Children of God, we need to do everything we can in instructing our children the right way to go.

If the world is not trying to raise the children right then we MUST step up to the challenge.

God bless you - this was on my heart this morning and I just wanted to bring it to the fore front of this blog and say "Come on Church - let's take the stand that the world is looking for".

Saturday, 21 March 2009

Today, as I was cleaning house and listening to the Gospel Radio Station, I could not help but to think of David when he stated in the scriptures "Create in me a clean Heart". As I was cleaning, I began to pray and ask the Lord to clean me all over. I continued to pray and ask God to watch over me and keep me that I may not sin against Him.
We must know that we can have a relationship with our Heavenly Father even when nothing is wrong, when all is going well, when we have not sinned or have sinned against someone else. We must continue to stay in the right relationship with HIM.

In the day and time that we are living in, the devil will try to trip us up and cause us to fall. That is why we must continue to pray and stay in a RIGHT relationship with our Heavenly Father. We must continue to call out to our God and when there is something that stands in our way we must call out to Him even more!

I am so glad that we have a Savior who is not to busy to take care of our needs! We have a direct line and we can call Him up when no one else wants to listen. This Savior that I am talking about is JESUS!
May God Bless You on this Day!

Friday, March 20, 2009 - What's on my heart....

As I awoke this morning, the Lord kept impressing upon my Spirit, "Making a World of Differences one Person at a Time" and as I was thinking about this, the scripture that came to me was the one that tells us to "Stand in the Gap". If there is ever a time that we need to "stand in the gap" for our family, our friends and our nation it is NOW!
People are wondering to and from searching for something and we have what they are searching for! Jesus Christ! For we believers know that HE is the answer to all of life's problems, all of life's questions and we know that when all else fails, Jesus never fails us!
The economy, Wall Street, the banking industries, mortgage companies are all saying they are at their lowest but I come to tell someone this morning that these business' that I just mentioned DO NOT control our God's resources. We serve a God of PLENTY! We serve a God of ENOUGH! We serve a God of OVERFLOW! We serve a God of ABUNDANCE!
We need to stay out of this state of fear of loosing things and know that our God said, "I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU"! I don't believe He said that in one aspect of our lives but HE proclaimed that over EVERY aspect of our lives.
May the Lord bless you today as you walk in God's resources for your Life!

What's Happening at Beckley Praise Church

Wow - were do I begin! The Lord has really been blessing us since the first of the January! We entered 2009 literally running for the Lord!
January 2009 - we started the year out in a 21 day prayer and fast and my how we seen the Lord bless the church for their obedience. We were blessed to see 5 people saved and numerous people have stated that their walk with the Lord has been renewed and they feel so strong in the Lord. As the pastor of this great church we stayed focused on the vision that God has given to us and we continued to preach the messages that the Lord has given to us to preach. We preached messages such as: Keep the Fire Burning, Walking in Increase, Steadfast and Unmoveable, Jesus is in the House, Now it is Revival Time..... By staying focused on the Word of God we were able to go into February with a SHOUT!
February 2009 - February 2009 started out with a Loud Shout from in our services. We started the 1st of February (Sunday Morning) out preaching "Promises of Revival" and the Holy Spirit just took over the next three weeks of Revival services and we were blessed to see 15 Saved or Rededicated, 4 Healings and 3 Received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. The entire time that this Spirit of Revival is taking place our people were still in a Mode of Fasting and Praying for our services and for our lost. As we ended the Revival with Evangelist Steve Board, we continued to look ahead at what the Lord would want from Beckley Praise and what the Lord would want me to preach. We preached messages such as: The Dr's in the House, Just Because the Enemy has Said, Anti-Christ, What on Earth will be in Heaven..... Well, as you can tell we were running right out of February and right into March.
March 2009 - in the Month of March since we have been at the church we have considered March as a month to reach out and really capture the community and those surrounding the church. Every Sunday we entitled it a different theme.
1st Sunday in March - Community Sunday
2nd Sunday in March - Friend Sunday
3rd Sunday in March - Family Sunday
And this Sunday coming up we have declared this Sunday - Pack-A-Pew Sunday and the last Sunday in March will be Missions Sunday. We have really been blessed of the Lord the first 3 Sundays by seeing 6 souls come to the Lord and we are looking for more to come.
Brother Jeff Bennett http://wvjeff.blogspot.com , from the Kilsyth Free Will Baptist Church came and spoke on Wednesday, March 18th Missions Night and what a wonderful job he did.
Let me take this time to invite you to our services: we are located at 250 Elm Street in Beckley, WV and you can find us in between the Papa Johns Pizza and the Beckley Car Wash located on Robert C Byrd Drive. Come on by and be with us!
